  • water in engine and transom

I just experienced a water problem in the top of the engine. I removed the spark plugs and pumped the water out. Replaced spark plugs and starter. Returned next day to find the boat with 15 inches of water in the floor of the transom area.

I could not find a leak. Could it be the bellows leaking? Suggestions?

I have a complete Alpha One shop manual but lack special tools and experience. What is the best way to pursue this and approximate cost?

    Thanks!

water in the cylinders would indicate a manifold/ riser problem, water in the bilge that high most likely took out the starter and filled the bellows with some water,. Pull the boat, pull the drive and find the leak.
May be the shift boot, main bellows, exaust Y pipe, ????
