Driveshaft o-rings on 116?

Getting ready to install my new 116 upper unit and I'm confused about the placement of the o-rings on the driveshaft. My old mercruiser unit had 2 notches for o-rings and the 116 looks like it has 3. Are the two smaller o-rings supposed to go in the notches toward the housing and the thicker/bigger one supposed to go in the notch closest to the splines?
