I just puchased an se116 outdrive with the cobra conversion kit,everything went well.My only problem now is changing the throw in my remote control it is not universal.I need to know what brand of remote control to purhase? Thanks

You can purchase any brand you want, just make sure it says universal or Mercruiser compatible. There are a few different types of controls by a few different manufacturer's. Most common on smaller boats is a side mount, and they usually have a trim switch in it. If the links quit working the first on is a Uflex B184MERC The second one is a Uflex B301B although I just noticed it does not have trim and tilt build into the handle, so if yours is console mount and has trim and tilt, you would need to add a seperate switch for that such as:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...d_i=B0051US2LS There may be a more elegant solution, but that was what came up doing a quick search. Most likely you would have to splice the wiring in.
