    Hello,

    I purchased the transom seal kit from you guys at the link below:

    Just wanted to know if the gimbal bearing in your kit is a permalube style or a greaseable one.

    Sorry for your post not showing up right away. For some reason it was sitting in Moderation, and I have never seen that before. I just noticed it this morning. To answer your question, our gimbal bearing is the greaseable type. If you had a newer transom assembly that came from the factory with the sealed bearing, then ours would not work.

      Hmm.. The bearing I originally pulled out did not have a grease hole in it.
      Although my transom assembly does have the grease fitting/port.

      I pulled the SEI bearing back out today, and lined up the grease hole with the port, and it went in smoothly.
