  • no reverse

I installed my new drive but couldn’t get into reverse, it would go into forward. I read the forum and decide to adjust the shift cable, I found this link on the web it saved me a lot of heartache, I followed it and guess what I now have reverse. Drive works great. Very happy with it. Here is the link if someone else has the same problem http://www.mercstuff.com/images/shiftcable.jpg

That's a good find searching the 'net.
Do you have an aftermarket manual like "Seloc"?
These are pretty handy as they save alot of time and
generaly cover everything you will need for the maintenance
of the drive and most engines.

Thanks again for the help of others,
