Seperating Upper From Lower Alpha 1

I am having trouble seperating lower from upper unit. I have done it before to change the water pump and I am following the Mercruiser manual to no avail. I have verified that all of the required bolts are out. I need to seperate to install new Se-106 lower unit.
Any suggestions?

Dick,
If your certain all bolts are removed including the allen bolt located under the trim tab then you will have to try and pry the unit apart. A thin blade screwdriver should be enough to break the seal.
