Hi,
I have a 1987 Wellcraft Aruba with the original outdrive (350CI/260HP Mercruiser/Alpha 1). The upper gears were replaced several years ago due to a gear fluid leak but otherwise, it has been working fine. My wife and I live in Vero Beach Florida and are planning a trip to the Bahamas this summer. I would feel more comfortable knowing that the outdrive is sound for the trip across open water. I found your site after searching the Internet for a replacement outdrive and it seems like you have the best deal….however…I have seen several posts concerning overheating due to what seems to be a problem with your impeller.
Have you done anything to resolve this issue?
