Since my outdrive was damaged and replaced with the SE106, I have noticed excessive slap . The boat use to ride well in rough water and has a deep V-hull. I tried adding weight to front with sandbags as well as adding a hydrofoil to the lower unit. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks!

Changing the outdrive should have no effect on the boats' ride. You might check the trim limit setting to see if it is correct.

what is the proper procedure for checking the trim limit? The outdrive appears to swing all the way down when fully engaged.Comment

On the Alpha 1 you should get a measurement of 21 3/4" (+- 1/4") pin to pin center on the trim cylinders with the drive trimmed up/out.
