I installed my new 106 upper unit today. I noticed a slight growling from the U joint during more than moderate turns to either starboard or port. Is this something that will wear in or should the unit be shipped back?

A u-joint problem most generally presents itself as a knocking noise when turning. A growling sound is usually the gimbal bearing. I would continue to run and keep an "ear" on the problem.

I have very similar problem with new SE106 with 12 hrs on it. I have some vibration when making turns and a little noise but not sure to call it a growl or what. My gimbal was changed 4 seasons ago and feels good. Do you have vibration also ?Comment
