    Help!
    5.7 Mercruiser.
I Purchased A New Gear Unit In Aug 07. During The Break In Period I Noticed It Would Start Overheating At 3000 Rpm. Took The Unit Back Off 5 Times And Had Risers And Water Pumps Checked. I Dropped The Unit Off In Clearwater And You Had Spotwelded Something Near The Waterpump. Put The Unit Back On For A Test Run And Finish Break In Period. Now The Unit Starts Over Heating At 4000 Rpm And Up. Will Cool Down Immediatley After Reducing Rpm's. I Need Help Or Replacement Unit.
    Thanks

Sorry to hear you are still experiencing problems. The issue should have been resolved when you returned the unit. I'm not sure what is going on to have the overheat trouble continue. Please contact our warranty department at 727-461-0811 Mon-Thur between 7:30 AM and 5PM and they will take care of you. Note; our office is closed until Jan. 2nd.
