First fluid change...

Hello,

I purchased and installed a SEI drive in July of 2004. I wore the unit in according to specifications and have used the drive for about ten hours.

When I went to change the impeller and outdrive oil to do my spring comissioning, I found quite a bit of metal filings on the lower drain plug. Is this normal fo rth efirst fluid change?

Yes, metal filings are normal as long as they are very fine. There should not be any chunks.
