  • Break-in Time

Reading through the posts on this board, it appears that I should not go faster than 3/4 throttle for the first 5-7 hours. I'm glad I found this site, because neither the dealer nor my mechanic informed me of that fact.

Are there any other break-in suggestions I should know about?

Is there an initial fluid change requirement after a certain number of hours?

There doesn't happen to be an owner's manual does there?

I'd appreciate any info or tips I should have received.

    Thanks

You should also make sure that you shift into both gears at least 10 times in the first 10 hours.

The gear lube should be changed after the first 10 hours.

      Thanks for the answers!

This boat is new to me, so I'll probably shift it 10 times just bringing it into the slip the first time.

I'm glad I asked, because I didn't know about changing the fluid and I'll have to arrange to have the boat hauled to do that.
