About a week and a half before I went on vacation to the Keys my lower unit seized on my 96 Mercury 250. After calling a couple of mechanics I had used in the past, who all recommended SEI lower units, I decided to order one and replace it myself. I found Mercaftermarkets a SEI dealer on E-bay who had a great price, and ordered a new unit on Monday, got the unit on Friday, installed it and headed to the Keys to break it in. Needless to say the motor ran great all week and I had 20 hours on it by the time I got home. Overall a great experience and I could'nt be happier with my new lower unit.
