Given the difference in price between the Yamaha LU and an SEI unit and given the relatively positive response on the net, I decided to give the SEI unit a try. Before buying I called and spoke to Rob in design and research at SEI for a little hand holding and reassurance. Not too sure that helped but he was obliging and pleasant. As I am in the Tampa Bay area where SEI is located, I saved on shipping and if it comes to that, I can take it back there if necessary without the cost and time lost of those farther away. The sales staff was also helpful and pleasant. Alas, all of this happy stuff is likely to be forgotten if the product does not perform. So, I will update this post after installation, break in and subsequent use. Happy customers tend not to post while unhappy ones do, so the chatter on the net is skewed toward bad news. I hope to counterbalance that. Cheers.
