I have a 1990 Mariah 1850XL. The previous owner had it in a slip and the drive bellow tore. Needless to say the entire boat sank. Then I purchased it. As it sat in the water the lower unit was completely corroded by electrolysis. I have started a complete refurbish. I was looking for a complete lower unit online and came across SEI. I researched everything online and then decided to make the purchase. I made the toll free call, talked to a salesman. I placed the order and I was looking forward to receiving my SEI 106 unit. Then I got a phone call about 10 minutes later and the salesman informed me they didn't make the same ratio as the the original unit but, they had two ratios that were close. I picked the 1.84:1 and received it on the day they said. Brand new! And carries a 3 year warranty to boot. I have never been more satisfied with the customer service than that I received from SEI. I will definitely tell anyone looking to purchase a new lower unit to contact SEI.
