I have a 1988 Sea Swirl runabout with a Cobra Outdrive. It started acting up and I had the shift cable replaced. After that it worked well for a few hours then had issues shifting again. The mechanic told me that it was going to need shift dogs or gears replaced. I started looking for options as he also told me that it would be at least $1000.00. When I found the SEI complete lower housing for under $900.00 I was amazed yet skeptical, all new parts for less than labor and a few new parts. My gear housing arrived the other day and I can’t wait to change it out. Unfortunately for me it will have to wait a few week before I can actually free up the time. SEI delivery was as promised and I am looking forward to having a good boating year.
