Have two new SE106 drives on the way, but still have to remove a little corrosion and repaint the transom assemblies to match the new drives.
If I buy Mercury Mercruiser Phantom Black Paint for the topcoat, what's the best way to etch/prime the transom assembly so this mercruiser phantom black adheres as well as possible?
When I did this 10 years ago I used interlux primewash and then an aluminum primer and the topcoat, but I'm not up on what the best primer is now or what's recommended under the mercruiser phantom black paint.
