growling sound when throttleing

hi, have a growling sound when i punch thottle up and down
and the growling sound is after i punch it like something is
still turning fast after idle goes down, almost like the gimble
bearing is spining faster than the drive shaft it's a new
gimble bearing the unit only has about 5hrs on it

If it only makes the sound when you pull back on the throttle, it is probably the clutch ratcheting. With the engine off, put the boat in forward gear and then spin the prop counter clockwise and see if that sounds the same. If so, it is normal.
