  • Shavings and Shifting

I just bought and installed a SE 205. I have a couple of question I hope you can
    help me with.

    1. It is difficult for me to shift into reverse and the engine wants to jump
into gear from neutral, is there an adjustment I need to make to the shift cable
and if so how do I go about doing that.

    2. Because my engine jumped out of neutral a couple of times, I pulled the plug
to see if there were shavings and there most definitely was (see the attached).
Is this normal for a new install?

    Thanks for the anticipated help

I emailed you over a document. Its a little large at 19 MB so hopefully it goes through. The last section talks about the shift adjustment. The drain plug doesn't look alarming, but you don't mention how much time is on it.

    Thanks,
