  • gear lube leak/ bearing carrier

WP_20140713_009[1].jpghi again, posted here about a week ago about gear lube leaking at prop shaft
I removed the lower half and also removed the bearing carrier, in the other
post says if lube is in the exhaust cavity could be many things, when I checked
the exhaust cavity from the water pump down to the bearing carrier there's
no gear lube only black exhaust dust, but before I took it apart there was
a small puddle of gear lube under the bearing carrierWP_20140709_005.jpg

    ps: bought lower seal kit.

Since you have the seal kit, I would just replace all of them, but the evidence suggests the bearing carrier oring is the culprit.

hi again, I finished replacing seals, O-rings and already installed bearing carrier
I have a question about perfect seal(92-34227-1) and the big o-ring behind the thrust washer
just worried that I got some on the o-ring what will happen ?

I usually put it on the oring, so you will be fine.

thought I read that some where, kind of hard to keep it away from the o-ring anyway

          thanks for the help
