  • O-rings left out

    Hi

Today I finally was able to finish the install of my Cobra to SE116 conversion. I didn't put the smallest two o-rings anywhere as I didn't know where to put them, and I was having trouble installing the drive with the small o-ring that goes into the driveshaft so I left it out as well. Am I in trouble?

When gear is in reverse or forward, the drive makes loud clunks when I turn the propeller by hand. Should I be worried?

    Thanks

The long yoke has 3 grooves for orings. The two that are the same size go in the two grooves closest to the ujoint. They stretch to fit. The other groove has an oring, but it is not needed for your purpose. You definitely want the two small ones on there though. They make sure the gimbal bearing spins with the shaft.

The clunking is normal in forward and reverse. Just the nature of the dog clutch.
