    Post Mystery Connection

I removed the lower unit to replace the water pump impeller and have noticed this is not connecting to anything. What is it? I can't find anything that talks about it. All I can see is that there should be an o-ring on it. I have this converted from an OMC Cobra.

    Thanks

That is for a speedometer fitting used on mercruiser boats. You wouldn’t need it on the conversion.

So is it fine to leave this uncovered?
