  • short yoke installation.

firstly i have to say that i am very happy with my drive so far.and as a previous bloke said that we are logistically handicapped in australia it is very helpfull to have come accross this forum.

my drive was mistakingly supplied with the longer shaft,so after i stopped sulking and decided to change the old shaft which was in good nick on my new drive all was good again, however i did manage to damage one of the boot seals slightly on the universal joint, what will the consequenses be? i did notice when i applied grease thru the nipple that more grease came out of the damaged boot .
i am also glad to have read all about the noises these drive make prior to e running mine, i feel more and more confident now .

    Dear Sir,
If the seal is not too badly damaged and grease is still getting to all the bearings you should be OK. Otherwise you will have to replace the universal you damaged.
