  • Alpha or bravo outdrive

I'm in need of a new outdrive
I'm under the impression I have an Alpha One Gen. 1
upon reading my manual it is a little confusing on the serial numbers.
    I have a 1985 Glastron with a 305
The book says that stern drives except Bravo's have the serial number stamped into the casing on the upper gear housing,Mine does not
The book also says that Bravo stern drives have the Transom serial no. affixed to the upper gear housing Which mine has
    Here's my numbers
    Tran. ser.6893122

    Number on outdrive 1.65R 6810794
(it's on the rear of the outdrive on a sticker )
I didn't think Bravo or generation 2 was around in 85
I'm pretty sure my unit is origional to the boat.
Can someone educate me on these numbers and a way to tell which unit I have
I bought a Gen.1 on Ebay and am waiting on it to arrive
    Thanks Jim

Your boat does have the SE106 drive, so you should be all set.
