  • filling unit with gear lube

hi, have a new complete se106 drive how do you fill
the lower unit the screw hole is at the bottom so when
i pump lube in (2 pumps) it comes back out. i filled the
upper first, but when i open the screw on the lower no lube
came out, also what is the lube capacity.

The poper procedure is to fill the unit from the bottom until it comes out the top. So take both plugs out, and in your case let it drain overnight so you can get the oil from the upper out, then pump about 34 ounces into the unit until it comes out the top hole. Then reinsert the top plug. Then quickly remove the pump and reinsert the bottom plug.

This is the type of pump you should be using. It screws into the bottom drain hole and has an oring so it will not leak while filling the drive.
