I have a heavy boat with a 7.4 and a Bravo 2. I have found a transom assembly from Doug Russell but the Bravo rebuilt is very expensive to replace. The unit works except that an hour after replacing the gear oil, there is water in there. I can't get this old corroded Bravo 2 to seal and to start to take it apart in its current condition is concerning.
If the casing is corroded but the gears inside are working, what is my most economical path? Can I find a Bravo 2 casing and use my gears? Anyone with a Bravo2 case please call 727 452 4507 Rod Baker
