I recently purchased an aftermarket alpha 1 gen 2 lower unit from MercAftermarkets. It was the best price I have found and everything went great with mounting it. It fit like a glove and have had no issues. I recommend this unit to anyone and the owner of MercAftermarkets is extremely helpful if you have any ?'s. All in all, great experience.
