A friend actually purchased the drive under his credit card. Customer service was great and transferred the warrantee info in my name to keep it valid.
Now thats Customer Service!!! Now in the first 5 hours of break in. Does the break in period have to be in water or will motor muffs do?

You cannot break it in unless it is in the water, in gear. It has to have a load on it. Running on land with muffs does not create a load.
