Bob's Marine (Tampa, FL) serviced my 2002 Mako. Here is my experience: I had a problem engaging my 150 HP Mercury Opti-Max. I am assuming clutch, gears, shift pin etc. were trashed through allowing the use by another captain. Lesson number one, never let anyone operate your boat but you! Bob's Marine installed a completely refurbished lower unit supplied by SEI. On it's first water trial it had engagement problems once again, Bob noted the shift pin was sheered again. SEI immediately has warrantied this issue and is in the process of diagnosing what has happened. Overall I am happy with both SEI and Bob's Marine.
