Phil and I are partners in our 2nd boat which is a 1989 SportCraft with the 4.3 Mercruiser. We purchased the boat in the fall of 2010. After a hard winter and a rainy spring we were ready to hit Lake Erie for some serious fishing. On our first outing we lost power and had to be towed into the marina. We loaded the boat and went to our mechanic. He informed us on June 1st that the upper unit was destroyed. We started to decide what we should do. The mechanic had a used unit available but we were afraid of more problems. We began a web search and came across Merc Aftermarkets. After viewing the website and a phone call, we were sold! We ordered the upper unit on June 6th and received the unit on the 9th. We delivered the unit to the mechanic and he completed the installation on the 14th.
