My old original outdrive finally gave out. Local repair shop said that water had gotten inside and rusted the gears. They wanted $ 3000.00 plus $ 300.00 labor and $ 150.00 sales tax for a replacement drive.
I ordered the SE116 for my boat and had the local shop install it . Put about 8 hours on the drive this weekend. Everything works exactly as advertised. The one pleasant surprise is the smooth shifting the SE116 presents over the old unit. The old unit always had some gear lash when shifting from neutral to drive, neutral to reverse. The SE116 unit has exhibited no such behavior.
Great performance for less than half the price.
