It will not void the warranty, unless the hydrofin causes the failure, such as someone stepping on it.

Great...wasn't sure...may get one but wasn't sure about drilling holes? They make a big difference...had one on another motor and really liked them. I keep boat in water and trim tabs would really get a lot of growth on them.
