Throttle and shift control

I have installed the SEI 116 conversion on my OMC 1989 Bayliner Trophy. The oem shifter cannot be reversed to correctly shift the new SEI leg, so I'm shopping for a new control. I've seen on this forum where a Tech has suggested the Telflex CH1700 would do the job. Has anyone tried the CH1700, and how has it worked out for you?

We can confirm that it will work, however, we can't comment on customers experience on the water using the CH1700. Hopefully some people that have used it in the past will reply to this post.
