temp gauge 180 at idle speed

My 1st time on the lake after installing new upper & lower drive was not a plesant time. I have a horn type noise when in gear & temp gauge rose to 190 at no wake speed. Temp gauge lowers to 140 at 1/2 throttle. I'm suspecting impeller issue. I didn't hear the horn noise when I tested with the water hose muffs prior to lake test.

What type of unit do you have, so I can move this post to the proper section.
I would agree, it sounds like an impeller issue, so that would be the place to start.
