i just bought a cr 106. how do i go about changing the throw of the shifter cable? i've checked the internet, but haven't been able to find any info.

It is kind of hard to explain, but basically you need to move the shift cable at the helm unit to the opposite side of the lever. In other words, right now the cable is pushed in when going from neutral to forward. You need to make the cable pull when going from neutral to forward.
Not all controls are able to do it, so if you do not see a spot for the cable on the opposite side, you may need a new control.
