New SEI106 Storage

I just received my (2) new SEI106's. I do not plan on intalling them until spring as there are some other preventive maintenance things I plan on doing before I reinstall. Probably the main reason for waiting is that I had to pay for a liftout and winter blockup, and i don't have the cash to do again this late in the season.
My question is if there is anything I should do to the units or certain way to store if I am not going to install right away?

They should be just fine leaving them in the boxes until spring. If I were to do anything, I would just pull the water pump impeller out of the lower, so it doesn't take a set over the winter. Since your boat has to get hauled to change the impeller, you don't want to take a chance on that.
