  • Determining replacement drive models

1966 Lazy Days houseboat with what looks like one original drive and one later years drive, but both are worn out and eat up with galvanic and electrolytic corrosion. Plans to replace both, but easier said than done; cannot determine correct replacement models to order. Would also like to determine if it's possible to replace all external parts. The Clymer Shop Manual does not give me the info that I seeking. Can you help me determine my best course of action to restore this vessel with reliable drives.

I did a little looking, but it doesn't look like there would be an easy way to replace those drives and keep using your engine. I think your best bet would be to replace the entire engine and drive package. Unfortunately all we make is the drives, so you will be looking at a big bill to replace all of those pieces.

    Thanks,

    Justin
