I'm pretty sure it's the same spline as my 1980 228 Type 1 drive, and the new style simply refers to the extra o-ring for the couplers that have a grease zerk. I was just hoping to verify as I am ordering the SE106 today to replace my entire drive, that it will mate up with the existing coupler. The engine is a GM 305 V8.
