Top cap of drive bubbled and the paint peeled off ? 2 hours in the water but on the lift for a year with an engine problems. Has anyone been successful repainting ? what did you use ? I have used zinc chromate for a primer in the past and then spray . Is all the paint going to come off ?

The top covers are painted seperate from the case, so I wouldn't be too concerned that the rest will have any issues. The zinc primer and spray is about the best you can do with the drive assembled. Just make sure to sand it well before painting it.

disappointed that nothing else was suggested. I did sand, primer and spray as your fix. Hope that your warranty is better should I require it.Comment
