  • Pump base installation

I'm installing a new pump housing kit on my SE106 because the impeller went and I'm having a problem getting the pump base to seat correctly. Does the section with the o-ring need to slide all the way down so the base is flush and there is no gap? If so any suggestions on how to make it snap in? I'm installing the Sierra Pump Housing Kit 18-3320. Thanks.

I think that particular kit comes with extra Krings for the older style pump. Possibly you are using the wrong one? Usually you can just tap it in with the butt of a hammer.

You could always pull the oring off the old one, if that works, then you are using the wrong one.

That was the problem. The kit comes with 4 o-rings and I was using one that was too thick. I put the smaller one on and it went right in with the tap of a hammer. Thanks for your help!
