  • UPPER SHIFT BUSHING

I just received my upper se 106 and was surprised that the bushing for the upper shift shaft was not installed, was it suppose to be? Or do I need to purchase one; if that is the case is it the same part number as mercruiser upper drive.

That bushing isn't used any more by S.E. or Merc.

Just received a new upper today, and naturally concluded it was missing the bushing for the intermediate shift shaft.

Is there any problem having the bushing in place?

          Thanks!

If you want you can install the bushing but it really isn't necessary.
