Hi there...
I've just been told by my mechanic that my leg has one hour to live! So after hunting around the conclusion I have come to is to get an SEI.
I have a 1984 Donzi 18 Classic running a 350 Chev approx 280hp. The current ratio of my Mercruiser is apparently 1.5. and my prop is a 22. With this setup my engine doesn't rev past 4500rpm at full throttle, giving me a top speed of 55mph.
My question is what SEI ratio should I run 1.47 or 1.62? I'm thinking 1.47 that should give me slightly better low end and maybe the engine will actually rev a bit higher still giving me the same top end?????
