  • no shaft spindles?

I have an "86 stingray. In using this recently purchased boat we had a stopage in the water. While trying to check it out I found sevral things. No water pumpimg, no spinning prop. I took it a part and found everything working while a part but together no spinning prop or water pump. Does the lower drive shaft have spindles on it or is it just supposed to be smooth on the top portion?

If you mean the driveshaft sticking out of the lower, then yes it should have splines on it. Possibly you hit something and that caused it to break?

    Thanks,
