I just finished installing my SE106. I installed a new shift cable at the same time. I used various inputs (Seloc, your website) to adjust the cable, but the engine always dies when first put into reverse (with earmuffs).
I tried adjusting the switch, but have had no luck. Just to make sure, I disconnected the switch and put the boat into reverse, and it shifted flawlessly (again with earmuffs).
Any ideas? Looking at the switch cam from the top, in neutral and forward, the cam stays in the "valley". In reverse, it is at the top of one of the "hills".
By the way, the outdrive is smooth and dead quiet!
