  • Outdrive to bellhousing seal

I just finished installing my se106. When I was tightening the 6 bellhousing bolts, I noticed that the gasket sealing area on the new outdrive at the top of the bellhousing was much smaller than on the old outdrive. It is so thin that I worry about it not sealing. I put a little permatex sealer just along that top edge just in case. Have you seen this or had an issue with this before? Should I worry about this? Everything else seemed to be good. And it seems to run and shift fine on the trailer, Now I am just waiting to take her out on the lake.

We have not had any problems with this in the past. You should be just fine.
