1973 Starcraft Chieftan

My 1973 Starcraft Chieftan, an 18' Aluminum Cuddy, had a GM 4-cyl Mercruiser. After years of salt water use, it is now gone...I have a hole in my transom and that's it. The old stuff (motor, out-drive, housings, steering, hydraulics) is all gone. I'm not sure what items I need to fix this. It had pwr trim.

I also could use info on the different ratios offered for the outdrives.

You will have to replace all the items you mentioned. To make it economically feasible, it would be best if you could find a trashed boat with a good transom assembly and other parts you could use.
The different ratios for sterndrives are dependent on the motor and hull combination. If you plan on changing either one from the original you should contact the manufacturer of the boat.
