  • SE 106 Warm Up Period During Break-in

I had noticed stalling during my break-in procedures of my SE 106. I have a Mercury 350 on a 21 ft Formula. When I first came up on step, I had to come up slow or I would stall. Once the unit was warm (far beyond the normal operating temp of the engine was achieved), I had no problems. During break-in, does the unit put an increased load on the engine?

As the day went on, stalling lessened, but the next day, I still had to wait until the lower unit warmed up before to alleviate the stalling. Will this lessen as the unit breaks in?

I don't think the unit would be causing this. I would double check the engine idle to make sure it is in spec.

Also, just in case it is stalling when shifting into or out of gear, did you check the shift adjustment?
