Gear Ratio

Hi, I am looking into ordering a se106, but am a little unsure of the gear ratio. I believe the outdrive that is on now is not the correct ratio, I'm told the previous owner just bought it used and threw it on...
Anyways it is a 27' 1985 Searay Sundancer with a V8 260hp... Any input would be helpful... Thanks in advance..

Your boat would use a 1.47 gear ratio.
