i have a 87 19 ft . chapperel bow rider with a 305 or merc 200 with the wrong gear ratio what is the correct gear count i need or ratio? and what is the counter rotation outdrives for ? how would i track and received the shipped items ?

Your unit, if it is a 2 barrel carb, should be a 1.65 ratio. The upper gear tooth count would be 24-24. Counter Rotation is used on a boat with twin engines, so one drive spins one way, and the other drive spins the other way.
