SE 106 Standard or Counter ?

I am looking to replace my Alpha One Sterndrive since I hit a rock and cracked the case. The boat is a 1987 Cobalt with 230HP Mercruiser V8.

SE 106 looks like a great fit... my gear ratio is 1.5...can I get away with the1.47 model without any problems ? Also...howcan I tell if I need to order a standard or counter rotation model ...my manual doesnt seem to indicate that anywhere . thx all !

You can't purchase a 1.5 unit anywhere. The 1.47 is the correct replacement. If you have a single engine, then you just need a standard rotation.

thank you ! followup here also...is the only way to tell if I need a short yoke on this replacement drive ...to pull the existing one and look at it ?

You will notice we do not offer a 1.47 with the short yoke. A V8 engine never used a short yoke.
